This project involved designing a contemporary holiday home in Mijas, Spain, for long-standing clients based in Nottingham. Having previously worked together in the UK, the family trusted us to manage their overseas project, guiding them through the unique challenges of Spanish planning regulations, steep site levels, and orientation to maximise views and light. Our approach balanced architectural ambition with the client’s budget and lifestyle brief, ensuring every space delivered comfort, clarity, and a strong connection to the Mediterranean setting.
Working remotely with the family in the UK, we maintained close collaboration throughout the process, navigating cross-country coordination while keeping the design aligned with their expectations. The final home exceeded what the clients imagined: a bright, elegant retreat that captures the essence of coastal living.
